Requirements

All people who are interested in applying for a paralegal training program with us will have to fill out an application. They will need to have a high school diploma or a GED before they apply. An applicant will also need to figure out what area of law where they want to work. Fields such as injury, family, bankruptcy and criminal law are all available for instruction.

Curriculum

The curriculum will vary for each field available for study. However, basic legal principles will be taught to all paralegals. General classes for paralegal training programs include (but are not limited to):

  • Law – Its Origin, Nature and Development & Contracts
  • Torts
  • Criminal Law

Materials will also be required for this course. The Blackstone Modern American Law Series, Law Glossary and the Ethics for Paralegals Study Unit are just a few of the different types of materials needed for this course.

Tuition Costs

The training course ranges from $1214 to $1442 depending on the payment option a student chooses to use. There are payment plans and tuition available for students who cannot pay for the total cost of the program upfront.

Online Instruction

Blackstone paralegal training programs also have an online course for students. Some course work in the program must be completed online. Students will be given the necessary information and instruction they will need to finish this portion of the program. While this organization will not guarantee a student a job after completing the program, they could potentially help them to find work. Paralegal training with us usually takes between 4 – 12 months to complete. In some cases students can finish a paralegal training program in about 18 months if there is a need.
