Foodservice Management

American Academy of Independent Studies (AAIS), Blackstone’s sister school, has offered continuing education courses since 1984 on a variety of nutrition, food safety and foodservice topics. AAIS realizes the importance of preventing foodborne illness, and how education plays an important role in safe food preparation. Foodservice employees can become certified or maintain their certification with the ACF, ADA, DMA, ACFSA, or AAFCS. For RDs and DTRs, AAIS is a CPE Accredited Provider. Our courses also provide CDMs and ASFSA certification holders with the hours that they need every three years.
