Blackstone Law Glossary
This extra volume gives a concise definition of legal terms and phrases along with their phonetic pronunciation, an invaluable tool when going through the Blackstone paralegal program. This glossary will be available online once your second payment is processed.
Legal Research and Writing – Part I Study Unit
This e-text provides a solid foundation in legal research, covering an introduction to the U.S. legal system; primary and secondary sources; computer-assisted legal research; conducting, updating and verifying legal research; and legal analysis.
Legal Research and Writing – Part II Study Unit
Building on the information presented in Part I, this e-text focuses on the skills paralegals need to perform on-the-job professional legal writing. The e-text covers the preparation of legal letters, legal research memorandums, trial court legal memorandums, and appellate briefs.
How to Find a Job as a Paralegal Study Unit
This e-text provides students with the information necessary to succeed as a paralegal with skills and knowledge learned from the paralegal program. Candidates learn about the various legal work environments and specialty area opportunities for paralegals. The e-text also covers crucial information about starting a job search, guidelines for resumé and cover letter writing, and some tips for successful interviewing and succeeding on the job.
Ethics for Paralegals Study Unit
This e-text covers the evolution of the paralegal profession; job responsibilities; confidentiality, conduct, and ethics; working as a freelance or independent paralegal; and continuing your education after the completion of your paralegal program.
Access to Blackstone’s Online Student Center
Along with your traditional course items, you will have unlimited access to Blackstone’s Online Student Center, where you can take exams and receive instantaneous Grade Reports, chat real-time with other paralegal program students, participate in online discussions, and receive news about Blackstone.

Blackstone Legal Assistant/Paralegal program students will receive a 4-month membership to LexisNexis®, the premier online research tool of legal professionals. Learn the research skills you’ll need to perform in the workplace! Your membership includes:

In addition, Blackstone will also provide you with:
A total of 31 exams, comprised of approximately 120 pages, and six writing exercises assist Blackstone in assessing your understanding of the concepts taught throughout the paralegal program.
You will receive an official transcript and a Legal Assistant/Paralegal certificate upon successful completion of the entire paralegal program. A copy of your transcript will also be on permanent file with Blackstone and is available for a nominal fee.
You have up to one year to complete the Blackstone Legal Assistant/Paralegal program. If additional time is needed, a six-month extension can be purchased.
Immediate feedback is provided for all exams submitted through the Online Student Center—you will receive an electronic grade report instantly!
